<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article provide an analysis of different attitudes to applied behavioral analysis to help children with autism spectrum disorders in North America and Europe. While in the United States and Canada methods of applied behavioral analysis are supported at the state level and are offered to people in need, in most European countries there is a cautious attitude to these methods or even rejection of them. The article contains an analysis of possible reasons for this state of affairs. The difference in philosophical and psychological traditions in the approaches of personal development is considered as the main reason for difference in approaches.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>расстройства аутистического спектра (РАС)</kwd><kwd>прикладной анализ поведения (ABA)</kwd><kwd>неприятие ABA в Европе</kwd><kwd>метод с научно доказанной эффективностью</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>autism spectrum disorders (ASU)</kwd><kwd>applied behavioral analysis (ABA)</kwd><kwd>rejection of ABA in Europe</kwd><kwd>method with scientifically proven efficiency</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Anagnostou E., Zwaigenbaum L., Szatmari P., Fombonne E., Fernandez B.
